Lenten Series: Feb 18 – Ash Wednesday

I believe the right disposition for Lent is not sadness (afterall, we know that Christ has risen and will come again), but gratefulness and resolve. Grateful that God Himself laid down His life for us. And resolve to make that sacrifice count by making our lives a living testimony to the Gospel.

From today's 2nd Reading - 2 Corinthians 6:1-2
"Working together, then, we appeal to you not to receive the grace of God in vain. For He says, 'In an acceptable time I heard you, and on the day of salvation I helped you.' Behold, now is a very acceptable time; behold, now is the day of salvation."

From 1st Reading Intro:
"Prophecy is the proclamation of who God is and what He will do in our lives. The prophet's role is to speak about God's will and His desire for His people. Today, we are made prophets through Baptism. Our role is to live the Gospel as a witness of God's truth to an unbelieving world."
