Lenten Series: Mar 6

Friday's Gospel brings to mind the song, "Bless the Broken Road". Rejection and all of life's disappointments are difficult pills to swallow. As we live through such moments, it is hard to believe that these will bring us to something better; that turning off the road we wanted to travel on will lead us to a better place. During those moments, we need to make a conscious decision to keep the faith and cultivate the virtue of hope. A CONSCIOUS DECISION. Because, during those moments, it will feel like God is unfair. And you know in your heart that He's not.
In due time God's plan will unfold in its full awesomeness. Then you will feel blessed "because He who is mighty has done great things for [you]." (Maginificat).

From "Bless the Broken Road"
(Think more in the context of a love song to your future self, the version of YOU God had planned):
"Every long lost dream led me to where you are
Others who broke my heart they were like Northern stars
Pointing me on my way into your loving arms
This much I know is true
That God blessed the broken road
That led me straight to you."

From Friday's Gospel - Matthew 21:33-43, 45-46:
"The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone; by the Lord has this been done, and it is wonderful in our eyes."
